Corporate Under-Cover WorkAlthough this type of work can be expensive due to the time involved to gain trust of the workforce, this form of investigation leads to a very high success rate. The most common issue amongst employers is theft. Unfortunately, CCTV is not the answer as the cameras are normally situated on the exterior of the building to protect the site from external intruders. Adding cameras inside the building can upset the moral of the staff as they would be concerned that they are being "watched" at all times. They are also impractical as they do not always record the theft due to blind spots. Covert cameras have a much higher success rate especially when used in conjunction of an undercover operation. In many cases, there is normally more than one member of staff involved in theft. Over time, the cost to the employer can be the difference between success and failure during these depressed times. Our undercover personnel are trained to gain the trust of staff and their observation skills, coupled with their body worn cameras, are a formula to a successful outcome. Case StudyA well known baby food manufacturer had a problem with glass being added to the food supply. One large contract had already been lost due to this incident and the company's future was at risk. It took our operative 5 days to find the group of 3 unhappy staff and soon had their confidence. The next night, the perpetrator was caught on video and was dealt with accordingly. |
